In honor of Donnie Farrell, play lacrosse!
Date: April 25th- 26th, 2009
Registration Begins: 1pm Saturday
Faceoff: 2pm Saturday
Game Ends: 2pm Sunday
Location: Rowan University, Varsity Soccer Field
Motivation: Over a year ago, a student of Rowan University was murdered in a tragic incident which shocked the university community. Donnie Farrell was a member of the Rowan Men’s Club Lacrosse team and a great friend to many. The Rowan Men’s Club Lacrosse team would like to honor their departed friend and raise awareness about his murder, for which no suspects have been arrested.
Event Description: 24 Hours 4 Donnie is a charity lacrosse game in which lacrosse players from all over the region will play a 24 hour long game. Players will pre-register or register on the day of the event. The cost is $20 and each player will receive a reversible jersey to play in. Only players registered prior to April 17th will be guaranteed a jersey. There will be a 24 hour running clock. The game will follow the basic men’s lacrosse rules as defined by the NCLL.Charities
The Donald J. Farrell III Memorial Scholarship - Boonton Township, Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Local 392
The Donald J. Farrell III Memorial Scholarship fund was organized after Donald’s life was taken from him suddenly and unfortunately in 2008. The scholarship will honor a high school student from Mountain Lakes High School who demonstrates an effort within their community and throughout their studies. Every year, the student who posses courage, integrity, and a clear desire to excel will be awarded the scholarship.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation was founded by Lance Armstrong during his battle with cancer. The foundation gives informational resources and support to people battling cancer and their families. Players must be 18 years of age or older.
A $20.00 entrance fee will be due at sign-in.
